A head for heights: family rock climbing in the Ötztal Valley

When it comes to rock climbing with children, the most important thing is without a doubt the fun factor. "There is no point droning on about safety procedures and techniques. It just goes in one ear and out the other," explains Nicole Schwaiger, a rock climbing instructor and mother of two. Oberried, Engelswand and the Klettergarten Oetz are the three rock climbing areas in the Ötztal Valley which Nicole Schwaiger recommends for families with children. There are also many other family-friendly rock climbing areas throughout Tirol. The village-like Nature Resort in Oetz provides comfortable and stylish accommodation.
