Museum of Peoples

Schwaz

The Museum began as a repository for Tirolese photographer Gert Chesi, whose journeys and expeditions to Africa and Asia were actively generating collections. Now, the museum is home to over 1,000 anthropological artefacts from cultures around the world.

The Museum of Peoples offers a unique opportunity to learn more about other cultures through artefacts, lectures, and concerts. Seasonal exhibitions showing ethnographical collections and contemporary Non-European art are held regularly at two exhibition spaces.
