Bike Trail Tirol Stage 29: Landeck - Ischgl

A very challenging stage takes you from the historical alpine town center of Landeck across Paznauntal Valley to the action-filled holiday resort of Ischgl. Enough stamina and an excellent physical shape are absolutely required for this 33-kilometer long stage, featuring 1250 meters of altitude gain. Both demanding and truly varied trails await you on this stretch!

  • There is only one route – apart from the Silvretta main road – which leads from Landeck to Paznauntal Valley and further on to Ischgl by passing the little mountain village of Tobadill. The tour's highest point is Almstüberl, (not serviced) at 1383 meters above sea level.
  • After about 500 meters where you push the bike, across a mountain brook and through a very steep forest area, you reach Almstüberl Hut. Continue downhill to the village of See, following the scenic Paznaun Valley Trail.
  • The Paznaun Valley Trail covers a 20-kilometer long, gently rolling route of awesome natural beauty. Gravel paths and narrow asphalt trais lead right along the rushing waters of Trisanna mountain brook.
  • The last stage to Ischgl features another strenuous uphill section with some 600 meters of altitude gain. Enough stamina is required for this final part of the tour, which looks easier than it is.
