Muttereralm Mountain of Adventure

Mutters

From morning yoga sessions and downhill go-karting in summer to snow biking and sledding in winter, the Muttereralm Mountain of Adventure high above Innsbruck offers an extensive array of outdoor adventures and activities all year round.

Enjoy a day’s worth of play on the Muttereralm Mountain of Adventure at all times of year, summer and winter. The mountainous landscape provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor excitement in one of the country’s most breathtaking scenic areas, ideal for those wanting to bask in nature and for active families. The scenic recreation area at an elevation of 1,600 meters provides a wide variety of opportunities: Soak up the sun and scenery of Inntal Valley and rugged Karwendel Range from the reservoir and embark on fun trips by raft. Kids will love the adventure playground with gold panning and “Magic Water” to splash around together. The Barefoot Trail offers fun for all the family. Take off your shoes and tantalize your toes with an array of natural textures. Nature lovers can enjoy panoramic views, Alpine pastures and wildflowers, as they hike on one of Muttereralm’s family-friendly trails. Avid riders can cruise down the flowy “Crazy Family Trail” for big grins and yogis can even roll out their yoga mats surrounded by awe-inspiring peaks up here. For the daring who like a little thrill every now and then, spectacular—and safe—mountain carts are ready to oblige: Hop on a cart and cruise down an exhilarating, twisting, turning 5-kilometer long track down to the valley.

During winter, Muttereralm offers a range of ways to embrace the spirit of the mountains: The area is replete with ski trails, a terrain park, a fat bike and snow bike course, a 4.7-kilometer long sledding run for advanced and a more gently run for families as well as wonderful routes for backcountry and ski touring enthusiasts.
