The end of the summer grazing season is celebrated with a grand cattle drive in the chocolate-box village of Reith in Alpbachtal Valley. In 2023, visitors can look forward to a true folk festival with a farmers and crafts market.
The herds are rounded up on Alpine pastures in the environs of Reith in Alpbachtal Valley and driven down to the valley on two dates, September 23 and 30, 2023. Decked out in garlands of flowers and ribbons, with bells attached to their heavy leather collars, the cattle will pass through the village around noon.

Homemade schnapps is a yet more indispensable element of this charming festival.
