Sometimes it seems that Advent has its roots in Tirol: snow-topped mountains, children's laughter, mouth-watering cookies, mulled wine, cinnamon...

Tirol's Advent and Christmas Markets rank among the most beautiful and atmospheric world-wide. Embedded in the snow-covered landscapes and surrounded by white mountains, you find the lovely Tirolean villages and towns like sparkling little gems spread all over the country...
Both locals and visitors can't wait for the lovingly decorated Advent stands displaying traditional crafts, mouth-watering hot drinks or excellent culinary Christmas delights. Especially on cold days and nights you are warmly invited to stroll around the towns and to try a glass of spicy mulled wine. Maybe you also find a little present for your beloved at home!

Over many years, the Tirolean Advent and Christmas Markets has been offering not only wonderful presents and traditional specialties but also a varied side program for all ages and preferences – giving a deep insight into Advent traditions and deeply rooted customs: the Holy Family searching for shelter, Advent carols, devilish parades to celebrate St. Nicholas and his companions, wind ensemble concerts, Christmas processions, Christmas songs, and a lot more! For children many entertaining highlights are scheduled as well, such as crafts workshops, pony riding, St. Nicholas parade and fairy-tale afternoons.
