The planetarium is dedicated to a science and nature emphasis but includes also multi-media entertainment for all ages and interests. Contrary to an observatory where you observe or study the stars in the sky using a telescope, at a planetarium you see a simulation of the nighttime sky projected onto a dome above the audience. The celestial scenes are created using a wide variety of technologies that combine optical and electro-mechanical technology. The Planetarium also features surround sound.
The Planetarium offers entertainment and education for all ages about astronomy and the wonders of the night sky. It is a unique setting for bringing the stars and planets indoors in animated and music-filled star shows.
The Planetarium is fully adapted to the needs of disabled visitors. For wheelchair guests there is a ramp giving access to the foyer and the auditorium. Accessible WCs are available.
