Museums

The "Grünes Haus" dates back to the 16th century and is richly ornamented with frescoes.
The museum accommodates an extensive collection of art-historic and ethnic exhibits documenting the towns history. It further includes paintings by members of the famous Zeiller family, Josef Anton Koch, and Anna Stainer-Knittel (known as Geierwally). A section of the museum is dedicated to the system of guilds, traveling tradesmen, the Ausserfern building trade, and the town’s long standing folk music tradition.
