Experience the thrill of freefall in the Tirolean mountains!
To jump out of a plane at 4000 meters (12000 feet) above ground as a wheelchair user may sound a bit wild but it’s absolutely doable! Tandem skydiving has made it possible for many people to participate, who would otherwise be unsuitable for solo parachuting. After about 20 minutes the aircraft has reached the optimal altitude and the doors will open for you to exit. Then you and the tandem master will get into a crouching position and both of you will simply roll out of the airplane. After 55 to 60 seconds or so of freefall, the canopy will open and you will slide to earth with the tandem-master. If you do decide to go tandem skydiving, it will be a thrill you will never forget!

If you are wishing to skydive and choose tandem-skydiving for your first jump this is what you can expect. You will go to the airport, meet your tandem-master and sign release forms. After this, your tandem-master will explain basic aircraft exit techniques, free-fall, and landing procedures and positions. Then you are ready to go. You will take everything out of your pockets, put on a jumpsuit, helmet and goggles and head toward the plane.
Tandem skydives are offered from May to November in Radfeld/Kundl. For detailed information on dates and places please visit the Skydive Tirol website. Dates have to be fixed one to two weeks prior to your jump. Shorter notice is possible for weekday jumps.
Each disability may require special considerations. The please talk to the team of Skydive Tirol to make sure that your skydive is a safe and fun experience.
