High up to a snack station!
Well-maintained footpaths through fields, forest trails, and asphalt roads make up the majority of these beautiful loops. From the hamlet of Burgstein and the Brand snack station on Brandalm you enjoy superb views of Längenfeld’s valley basin and its high peaks as well as the Aqua Dome spa. The snack station offers mouthwatering food and the adjoining farm has cute pot-bellied pigs running around. In the winter the road that takes you back to the valley turns into a popular tobogganing track.
Route: at the Sports Center head towards the Ötztaler Ache River. Run up the river, past Astlehn and through Runhof to the federal road. Cross the road and take the switchbacking road that climbs to the hamlet of Burgstein. Cross Burgstein and make a right after the last house. Continue to the edge of the forest, then make a left onto the narrow trail through the forest to Brandalm snack station; take the road back to Längenfeld and follow Fischbach River to the starting point.
