Ice diving ranks among the most difficult challenges for passionate underwater fans. The very best places are Tirol's mountain lakes with its crystal clear waters in the winter months. Dive into a truly outstanding world of ice ranging from deep blue to emerald green and icy blue.

Discover a totally different world far away from everyday life. You will be taken over by endless peace and silence deep inside the lake, under a thick layer of ice. At the same time you can explore a fantastic underwater Universe, a habitat which remains undiscovered by most people.

Excellent equipment and all the necessary safety measures are absolutely required for ice diving fans

After locating and opening an entry/exit point with a saw, you will dive in pairs and – most important - secured with a rope wearing special suites. Afterwards the ice hole is closed again with the ledge

A unique view under water which is especially clear in winter, awaits the courageous divers! Tirol's premium diving locations are located between 1600 and 2300m above sea level, embedded in the stunning Alpine scenery. Prerequisites for taking part in one of the sic ice diving weekends held in Tirol: Confirmation of a completed diving course (e.g. PADI Advanced Open Water) and a medical certificate.
