Win a Summer Hiking Holiday for Two to Innsbruck in the Austrian Tirol

Combining alpine, urban and imperial elements, Innsbruck is a wonderful destination for all travellers. The Innsbruck Tourist Board, the Austrian Tirol Tourist Board and Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports have teamed up to offer you the chance to win an incredible one week hiking trip to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tirol.

From its fascinating historic city centre – home to the renowned Golden Roof – to its modern streets and the sleek Nordkettenbahn Cable Car – designed by Zaha Hadid – all surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains.

In the centre of Innsbruck, the Golden Roof glistens against its alpine backdrop. The renowned landmark was built by emperor Maximilian I in the 15th century and decorated with 2,738 fire-gilded copper tiles to mark his wedding to Bianca Maria Sforza, an Italian noble lady.

Other highlights include the beautiful Ambras Castle dating back to the 16th century, the Bergisel Olympic Ski Jump complete with a roof-top restaurant and Europe’s highest altitude Alpine Zoo, housing more than 2,000 animals including bear, eagle and lynx.

Hiking is the ideal way to explore the magnificent valley, with more than 1,200 km of trails to suit all abilities. Some of the best hiking trails, like the Zirbenweg trail or the Goetheweg trail or a selection of free hikes with professional guides from the Alpine School Innsbruck (ASI) are on offer.

So, where will your heart (and your walking boots) take you?

Enter the competition to be in with a chance of winning. The prize includes seven nights’ accommodation for two people in a double room on a half-board basis in the four star Hotel Innsbruck in the old town of Innsbruck, two 48 hours All Inclusive Innsbruck Cards and a free hiking program offered by the Innsbruck Tourist Board.
