"Eagle View" Viewing Platform

Kaunertal

High above the tiny village of Feichten, this dramatic viewing platform which cantilevers over hundred metres of sheer drop, is a heart-stopping opportunity to enjoy 360 degree views of the surrounding "Three-Thousanders", high altitude peaks averaging 3,000 meters in elevation. The "Adlerblick" (literally, "Eagle View") Viewing Platform is wheelchair accessible and is located next to Tirol’s largest ‘eyrie’. This is where you will find a giant wooden sculpture of Tirol’s heraldic animal—with a wingspan of 5.30 metres and weighing around 700 kilograms. The second viewing platform, called "Bergwerksblick" ("Mine View"), is accessed by a Loop Trail that takes two hours to complete and includes interpretive information on the surrounding landscape and on the area’s rich history of ore mining. It is a great place to learn about the history of the region and to enjoy the awesome beauty of nature.
