Grießbach Gorge

Erpfendorf

Situated in Erpfendorf at the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, the Grießbach Gorge Walkway follows the Grießbach River as it tumbles over rocks and boulders through the steep-sided gorge. The newly erected walkway is a stroll across elevated boardwalks, bridges and suspension bridges to lookouts positioned below a long series of cascades. Traverse the massive Grießbach Gorge with your family and experience spectacular wilderness areas. This walk has it all with forested areas, geological features and ponds and puddles. Special features are the Barefoot Trail and the Stone Circle. This intermediate loop walk across Grießbach Gorge is five kilometers long and takes about two hours to complete. The walking track is well maintained and appropriate footwear is advised.
