The Kaunertal Valley Nordic Skiing Center provides access to four quality-inspected cross country ski tracks, featuring 8.1 kilometers of groomed trails. The tracks travel from the hamlet of Platz to Grasse at the elevation of 1,300 meters above sea level and offer uninterrupted panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
The gentle and flat terrain of Weisseespitze (t +43.5475.316 • e info@weisseespitze.com • w www.weisseespitze.com) novice track and the 700-meter long novice track of Kaunertal Wende 1 XC Ski Trail are perfect to help you get started. Advanced skiers can discover the beauty of the winter landscape on Grasse XC Ski Trail in Feichten: On foot of the lofty 3,000 meter tall peaks of Kaunertal Valley, the tracks run close to the Scenic Glacier Drive.
Adaptive cross country skiing lessons are available from highly trained and experienced staff and can be booked at the Kaunertal Tourist Information Office. They know every inch of the surrounding scenery and are keen to share their knowledge of adaptive cross country skiing with you. Two quality-inspected accommodations for wheelchair users can be found at Kaunertal Valley: Warm up on the hearth of a roaring fireplace and replenish your energy at Haus Renate or at Weisseespitze Hotel. Both accommodations provide complimentary Nordic sit-ski rentals.
