Approved by Pro Downhill MTB Rider Marcelo Gutiérrez from Colombia (Top 10 UCI Downhill Ranking), mountain biking’s defining celebration descends on Muttereralm Park for June 2017. Crankworx Innsbruck brings the world’s Downhill, Slopestyle, Dual Speed & Style, Whip Off and Pump Track Challenge legends together with the fans, rising stars, industry innovators and the next generation of mountain bike riders for five days of competition, concerts, and mountain bike culture.
Known as the “Super Bowl of freeride mountain biking”, Crankworx began in Whistler, Canada, in 2004. The Crankworx World Tour travels to Rotorua, New Zealand, Les Gets, France and culminates in its Canadian hometown of Whistler, BC. As of 2017, mountain biking’s defining celebration also rolls across Austria to take on the mountains of Innsbruck, Tirol. Come ride with the best, on phenomenal terrain and watch as the most competitive athletes refine and define the sport.
The festival is staged in Muttereralm Mountain Bike Park, and in town. With a full complement of Kidsworx events, concerts and its own showcase of the sport’s creative side, Innsbruck is the place to experience how the Tiroleans revel in the cult of the fat tire. About 10,000 spectators are expected to join the 2017 summer event. In 2018, Crankworx will return to Innsbruck. After all, this is the land of daring and decisiveness.
