Hike from sunrise to sunset: The KitzAlpHike is a gorgeous 11-hour, 22K trek through the most beautiful corners of the Kitzbühel Alps, starting in Westendorf.
Hike from dawn to dusk and take in some of the fantastic views during this 11-hour trek through the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps at the 2021 KitzAlpHike. This year, hikers will start at base of Alpenrosenbahn Gondola in Westendorf at 06:00am. A bus ride takes participants from there into Windautal Valley (Pastau). There, all walkers will make their way to Gamskogel Hut where a hearty breakfast awaits. Afterwards, the trek continues along Miesenbachalm Alpine Pasture Hut, Tanzkogel Peak, Hinterkarscharte Notch, Brechhorn and Talkaser. A final downhill ride on Alpenrosenbahn Gondola takes all walkers back down to the valley. Hikers must be physically fit for tackling the 22-kilometer course with 1,800 vertical meters.
