Tiroleans are winter sports-mad and love a good Nordic ski race or run. As a result, the Heart of the Alps hosts an exciting range of cross country ski events every winter.

The world’s best Nordic skiers will compete for their chance at glory at the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen and at the Nordic Combined World Cup in Seefeld. What’s more, there are action-packed contests for everyone, such as the Lienz Dolomiten Run, the SKI-Trail in Tannheimertal Valley, the Koasalauf XC Ski Run in St. Johann, the Achensee Lake 3-Valleys-Run and the Folk Biathlon event in Hochfilzen.
