The idyllic Berglsteinersee lies at an altitude of 713 metres above sea level between Kramsach and Breitenbach, on the southern slopes of the Volldöppberg mountain in the Brandenberg Alps, and is surrounded by a reed beds and forests reflected on the water’s surface. There are plenty of places along the shore to lie down and relax in summer. An admission fee is charged on warm days.

Visitors to the Berglsteinersee can test their brain power with a walk along the “Erster Leichter Lernen Weg”, an educational trail next to the lake with a number of exercises to improve learning and concentration skills. Let’s give it a go: who can remember how large the Berglsteinersee is? Correct! 2 hectares. Whether you got it right or wrong, there is one thing definitely worth remembering: the Berglsteinersee is without doubt one of the most beautiful lakes in Tirol and well worth a visit.
