Dolomites XC Ski Track

XC skiing trail closed

Dolomites XC Ski Track, which leads from Lienz to Nikolsdorf, follows the Drau River Cycle Path and offers a good view of the Lienz Dolomite Mountains. Each year, it serves as venue for the legendary Dolomites Race, attracting some 2,000 Nordic competitors from all over the world. The groomed and set track is mostly flat with some steep pitches.

Nikolsdorf

The municipality of Nikolsdorf enjoys a sunny location north of the Drau river and to the east of Lienz, the largest town in East Tirol. It lies at 675 m altitude and is home to 900 residents.
