The 8.3 kilometers of interconnecting trails cross wide open meadows and take you through all village resorts of Kaunertal Valley, into hushed stands of sweet-smelling and towering hardwoods, and along the edge of winding ice-locked Faggenbach Creek. This enchanting valley route provides splendid cross country ski opportunities with stunning views of the Ötztal Alps’ Three-Thousanders. Trail description
This XC ski track has its trailhead opposite to the Tourist Information Office and Quellalpin Center in Feichten. The first section (Wende 1) weaves through flat terrain to the hamlet of Unterhäuser. From there, the track provides a good, steady workout with many ups and downs and meanders through awesome mountain scenery to Vergötschen (Wende 2). The third section, Wende 3, is rated intermediate in difficulty and runs across undulating terrain to Lochebene, which lies behind Vergötschen. The last section of the track (Wende 2) takes you to the hamlet of Platz where Weißseespitze Hotel is located. This part presents physically fit skiers with advanced descents and climbs that get the heart pounding.
