Alpine Walk
Marienbergalm

Visitors to Marienbergalm on the Mieminger sun plateau are spoilt not only with above average levels of sunshine, the food is fabulous too. The alpine guesthouse humorously refers to itself as having “four star cuisine”, and substantiate this accolade by having four colourful bobble hats hanging on their outside wall. This tongue-in-cheek gesture is in fact very demonstrative of the satisfaction shown by many guests, as the food at this day trip destination is extremely good - tastily prepared from simple, regional ingredients, as befits an alpine dairy farm.

Trail description

The Marienbergalm is accessible from the Arzkasten district of Obsteiger. Follow signs for Alpsteig Marienbergalm from Arzkasten car park. The initially wide, flat trail becomes increasingly narrow and leads uphill to the alpine farm along the right side of the valley.  A scenic alternative descent can be made down the forest trail back to Arzkasten.
