Hiking the Tirolean Way...
The Eagle Walks’ 280-kilometer long
main route runs the length of Tirol: from St. Johann in the Unterland region past the majestic Wilder Kaiser mountain range, on through the Brandenberger Alps, the Rofan and Karwendel mountains, and through the Lechtal Alps to St. Anton am Arlberg. Hiking is the best way to experience, enjoy, and appreciate a country and its people, to discover its charm and character. Hiking in Tirol’s mountains allows you to discover the country’s soul. Those who did the Eagle Walk have truly explored Tirol’s beauty.
Each Trail its Destination
The Eagle Walk was completed this year. The
regional routes lead into the side valleys of Inntal, Paznauntal, Kaunertal, Pitztal, Ötztal, Stubaital and Zillertal; into Tannheimer Tal, Kaiserwinkl and through the Kitzbühel Alps.
Osttirol also boasts its own small Eagle Walk which takes you to the region’s most beautiful spots and greatest peaks.
No Way You Can Go Astray
The complete Eagle Walk consists of 126 stages and covers a distance of 1480 kilometers with a total elevation gain of 87,000 meters. The nice thing about the Eagle Walk is that it is as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. With the Eagle Walk the young and old, the fit and not so fit can enjoy hiking as a joyful, healthy and an invigorating activity. All routes are well-maintained, marked and described in detail.
