Beautiful surroundings for nature lovers and leisure walkers.
Running...
The expansive Imst-Gurgltal region offers gentle running and Nordic walking trails through surroundings of pristine beauty. The routes are ideal for novice runners and leisure walkers who like to take in the scenery and the wildlife as they walk. Nordic walking coaches will inspire you and teach you the basics you need in order to get started. Poles can be rented for a small fee at the tourist office. After a few days only you will be able to join the advanced group where more variety will be added to your walks.
… and relaxing
Imst’s awe-inspiring mountains are dotted with cozy huts and small inns where you can rest and refuel with hearty Tirolean food. Beer lovers should head to Starkenberger Brewery inside the beautiful Starkenberg Castle in Tarrenz. The brewery even boasts swimming pools filled with beer, a bath in which is said to be good for your skin and overall health. Adrenline junkies will love the Alps’ longest coaster, the Alpine-Coaster.
