Haiming

Action from the river to the piste: Haiming lies in the Upper Inntal Valley, between the town of Imst and the Mieminger Plateau, near the entrance to the Ötztal Valley.

The municipality stretches from the main village of the same name at 670m via Haimingberg all the way up to the settlement of Ochsengarten at 1,538m. In winter there is a cable car taking skiers and snowboarders from Ochsengarten to the slopes of Hochoetz. During the summer months Ochsengarten is also a good starting point for walks and hikes to the mountains and meadows. There is also plenty to see and do down in the valley, especially on the Inn. Haiming is well known for all manner of watersports, including whitewater rafting, canyoning, kayaking and riverboarding. The nearby village of Ötztal-Bahnhof is home to the Area 47 outdoor adventure park featuring a large swimming lake, huge slides and a wakeboard course. Those looking for less action and more relaxation should head for the Waldschwimmbad Haiming or the beautiful Lake Piburger above Oetz.
