At the foot of the mighty Gaichtpass lies the municipality of Weißenbach am Lech between the town of Reutte, the Lechtal Valley and the Tannheimer Tal Valley.
Weißenbach's central location is much appreciated by guests and locals alike. The village lies on the banks of the river Lech, Europe's only remaining wild river landscape with its pretty meanders and areas of wetland. There is a network of walking trails leading along the river and up into the nearby mountains, where hikers will find plenty of traditional huts serving homemade food.
