Description

This special tour does not focus on cycling itself – rather, it offers the opportunity to discover hidden places and long-forgotten stories of the region. The tour is accompanied by Martina, the director of the tourism association, who has something to share about every location, every hamlet, and almost every stone.

The route leads from St. Johann through Weitau to Sperten, where an impressive panoramic view of the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilden Kaiser can be enjoyed. It then continues to the historic Nepomuk Chapel and the former mine with its hidden shafts and the distinctive headframe, providing exciting insights into the regional history. In the quaint village of Oberndorf, a true "Ur-Oberndorfer" shares interesting stories from village life, before there is the opportunity to visit the Alfons-Walde exhibition. On the return journey to St. Johann, the tour goes through the hamlet of Wiesenschwang, past the popular OD Trails, where, with a bit of luck, you might witness spectacular jumps by daring mountain bikers on the jumpline.
