Neujahrskonzert 2026 "Es war einmal..."
With fairy-tale melodies, the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck opens the new year in Kufstein. Under the title "Once upon a time ...", the New Year's Concert 2026 invites you to a musical journey full of magic on Saturday, January 3rd, at 7:30 PM in the Kufstein Arena.
The program leads through sounding stories: from Rimsky-Korsakov's mysterious Skazka (fairy tale) to Rossini's lively overture to La Cenerentola (Cinderella) to Tchaikovsky's Flower Waltz from The Nutcracker. Additionally, waltz melodies by Johann Strauss (son) and Franz Lehár will resonate - music that has moved generations.
At the podium is Ainārs Rubiķis, the new chief conductor of the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck. The internationally acclaimed conductor, awarded among others with the "Golden Mask Award", is known for his energetic and detail-loving style. With him, a new musical chapter begins - festive and full of fantasy.
