Fairy-tale starts to the new year! With the Flower Waltz from Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck takes us into a splendidly opulent ball and vividly evokes the story of Cinderella with Gioachino Rossini's overture to La Cenerentola. Of course, the new chief conductor Ainārs Rubiķis has also included lively sounds from the "Waltz King" Johann Strauss II and the "last king of operetta" Franz Lehár in the program for his inaugural concert with the TSOI.
