Tyrol – Magic of the Mountains
For over seven years, photographer and extreme climber Heinz Zak has been on a journey to capture the extraordinary beauty of his mountain homeland, Tyrol, in stunning images. Few have experienced the mountains of Tyrol in such diversity. Heinz has ventured out at all times of the day and year, bivouacked summer and winter on the highest peaks, to capture unique moments in artistic photographs.
In this presentation, Heinz shows experiences that are accessible for everyone who loves being in the mountains. He takes us on the most beautiful hikes, to the most interesting peaks, and shows us wonderful places where one can simply relax and unwind. From the deepest medieval mines to the highest summits, everything will be showcased in the lecture. Peter Habeler and Horst Fankhauser climb the Olperer in celebration of its 70th anniversary, Bernhard Steidl and Andi Brunner tackle the most spectacular spots of the Ötztaler Ache, and with Christian Schartner and Gunnar Amor, we embark on the wildest canyoning tours. Video sequences of canyoning, kayaking, via ferrata, and climbing are included, as well as meditative image sequences of flowers, mountain lakes, the Great Ahornboden, and much more.
