Viktoria Hirschhuber - Benefit concert
Viktoria Hirschhuber's love of music, who will be performing at stummer schrei for the sixth time in 2025, was sparked by the moving sound of the Bruckner organ at the age of three. The long-time ‘Live Music Now!’ scholarship holder completed her piano studies (Bachelor's and Master's soloist training) with Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum Salzburg with honours and top marks. The musician, who performed with the Georgian State Orchestra at the age of 18, several times with members of the Munich Radio Orchestra and at the Vienna Musikverein in 2024, is currently perfecting her pianistic skills at the Zurich University of the Arts with Konstantin Scherbakov. At the same time, she works as an organist in the canton of Zurich ZH and is completing an extra-occupational training programme to become an organist. On 29 June, she will be performing a charity concert in the Stumm parish church in aid of the children's cancer charity.
In the programme of her piano recital, Viktoria Hirschhuber combines essential works of piano literature that address the multi-layered musical phenomenon of ‘fantasy’. Fantasy is an almost inexhaustible source of inspiration for composers; in the case of Robert Schumann's Waldszenen, it was inspired by nature and literary references. Robert Schumann's Forest Scenes Op. 82 are embedded between Frédéric Chopin's Polonaise-Fantaisie Op. 61 and Franz Schubert's Wanderer Fantasy D 760. As different as these three works are and as individual as the language of the respective composers is, they all have one thing in common: the romantic artist's deeply felt longing for a different, distant, better world to which he can transport himself in an instant using his imagination, to escape into it.
Admission: from 6.00 pm, start: 7.00 pm.
