Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing is required for all hikes and routes.
A popular destination for hiking and snowshoeing is the family-friendly Amberger Hut (2,135 m), which is also the starting point for many ski tours. From the south-facing sunny terrace of the massive natural stone building from 1888, you look out onto the gleaming Sulztalferner, flanked by mighty peaks such as Schrankogel or Wilde Leck. The ascent to the Amberger Hut climbs steadily along a wide track following the Fischbach, which guides the way up to shortly before the hut. Those who want to take a short break can do so halfway at the Sulztalalm.
Travel comfortably and safely by train. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL train station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel with public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination.
