Today's stage of the Bergsagen long-distance hiking trail takes us from Tulfes, via the medieval town of Hall in Tirol and the pilgrimage site of Absam, to the beautiful village of Thaur on the other side of the Inn.
Today's stage takes us through some beautiful villages to Thaur. We start in Tulfes along the Speckbacherweg from where we can already see the Karwendel peaks towering opposite. From the Speckbacherweg we turn north towards Judenstein and along the shady path along the Kienberg down to the medieval town of Hall in Tirol. There is a lot to discover here!
But we cross the town and leave it at the northern end heading west towards Heiligkreuz. From here along the Way of St James to the pilgrimage site of Absam and St Mary's Basilica. Later, we continue through the "largest vegetable garden" in Tyrol until we reach our stage destination of Thaur.
