Five Family Adventures
1. ZIPLINING AND CLIMBING IN ROFAN
For spectacular bird’s eye views and heart-pounding speed, spend an afternoon soaring high above the ground: The “AirRofan Skyglide” in Maurach am Achensee allows visitors to soar down the mountain like an eagle. For less adventurous ones, there’s a tamer climbing path in the forest, where experienced guides lead you through a number of terrain games and experiments. Equipped with harness and helmet, even cautious ones will turn into real adventurers.
2. SEARCHING FOR THE MUD MONSTER AT REITHER KOGEL
At Juppi’s Enchanted Forest on Reitherkogel Peak in Alpbachtal Valley, kids (and adults) of all ages can reconnect with nature on Tuesdays during the summer season. First, they visit the ‘Prince of the Farm’ and then they meet “Manni, the Mud Monster” at the Ghost’s Moor. Yet suddenly the monster disappears. Where to? That’s what kids have to find out through a myriad of unique activities. Their parents can either join them on the search for Manni – or they can explore the wonderful hiking trails that encircle Reitherkogel Peak. Sounds appealing to you?
3. TREEHOUSE DETECTIVES IN STUBAITAL VALLEY
The Treehouse Trivia Game is bustling with tasks to stimulate curious minds. The story goes like that: Bardin, the Dwarf, who has been mining for precious metals in the Stubai Alps for many years, has retired and has chosen this part of the forest to set up home and to look after the animals and plants of the forest. The five treehouses along the trail stand for the individual parts of the dwarf’s dwelling, playground, treasure chamber, kitchen, bedroom and workshop. At the end of an exhilarating day out along the Treehouse Trail in Stubai Valley, visitors can build a ball track in the forest.
4. “WALDLÄUFER” CROSS COUNTRY DAY CAMPS AT TIROL OBERLAND
Try it if you dare: During the “Waldläufer”Cross Country Day Camps, kids aged 10 and older will build their own catapults, complete with bag and ammunition. And they will try to hit the target so be prepared to have some wild adventure. Just don’t try this at home in your living room!
5. ATTENDING THE SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT IN ZELL-GERLOS
Unfortunately, witches are not cherished a lot nowadays. In Gerlos, they strive to help refurbish their image with the School of Witchcraft, which was founded by Clara, the Witch.
