Valentine’s Day is fast approaching – the ideal opportunity to get down on one knee and propose. But have you stopped to think about the ideal wedding venue? Somewhere beautiful, romantic and anything but the ordinary. Why not celebrate an extraordinary event at an extraordinary venue? Lena, our intern, has researched some of the most beautiful wedding locations in Tirol for this guest article.

I have a few special wedding location suggestions, for when the happiest day of your life will also go down as the most memorable.

1. Austria’s Highest Registry Office

3,440 metres above sea level – an altitude that has been known to take the breath away of many. In this case, it is good that the bride and groom only have to say, “Yes”. You can certainly prepare for the ups and downs of married life at Café 3.440 on the Pitztal Glacier. With fascinating panoramic mountain views and the Wildspitze Peak within sight, it is a truly unique wedding Location.

2. Wedding Ceremony in the Crystal Dome

After you have taken your vows in what is probably Tirol‘s most magnificent wedding hall, you will be welcomed into married life by a shower of real crystals in the Crystal Dome at Swarovski World of Crystal. Celebrate the most beautiful day of your lives in exclusive ambience at Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens.

3. Getting Married at Tirol’s Oldest Registry Office

The Old Town of Hall and ancient Town Hall have already experienced some romantic love stories and weddings. If you are planning to make history, then you are in just the right place at Tirol’s oldest registry office.

4. Luck of the Dice

The “Crystal Cube“ is located at 2,600 metres above sea level in the pleasure region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. This giant, mirrored cube is a popular gourmet restaurant – and occasionally transformed in to the most spectacular registry office in Tirol.

5. Ship-Bound into the Harbour of Marriage

There is no need to worry; all guests normally manage to stay dry during weddings on a ship at Lake Achensee – with the exception of the tears of joy that may be shed. Nevertheless, your wedding on the “Tirolean Sea” will undoubtedly be a memorable experience.

6. The Peak of Happiness as a Twosome

It takes a little bit of courage to enter into the bond of marriage. It is even more courageous, however, to do it on a mountain peak. Nonetheless, it is certainly worth the effort, as Salven Chapel on the Hohen Salve Peak is sure to bring good fortune to your marriage.

7. Fairy-tale Wedding at a Castle

Let’s be honest: almost every girl has dreamed of being a princess at some time in their lives. And there is a noble knight somewhere deep inside of every man. Ambras Castle in Innsbruck offers you the chance to celebrate the fairy-tale wedding of your dreams.

As a student, Lena enjoys travelling and discovering new things. Nevertheless, she feels most comfortable in her homeland and spends a great deal of time in the mountains and enjoying events in Tirol.
