One of the largest ski areas in the Austrian Tirol, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental is perfect for every kind of skier, from families all the way through to experts.
If you’re looking for variety, then SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental is the place to go. With nine connected resorts making up the ski area, from lively Söll to picturesque Westendorf, it’s easy to find your ideal base. And that’s before even touching on the skiing, which is made up of 284 tantalising kilometres, served by a quick and modern lift system. For experienced skiers, it gives the opportunity to really travel; it’s easy to ski for several days without riding the same piste twice. Intermediates, meanwhile, can enjoy wide, confidence-building slopes. All that, and it’s just an hour’s transfer from Salzburg, Munich and Innsbruck airports.
Families and beginners are well-catered for, too. There are 22 ski schools in the SkiWelt, offering lessons for kids from two years upwards. For lunch, take your pick from 77 mountain huts, many with sun-soaked terraces and jaw-dropping vistas over the Wilder Kaiser range.
The fun carries on even when the sun goes down and the SkiWelt transforms into Austria’s largest night skiing area with a total of 10 km of floodlight pistes above the village of Söll. Alternatively, swap your skis for a sledge and test one of the three toboggan runs dotted around the resort.
