The Seefeld plateau is much more than just a hotspot for cross-country skiing and biathlon in winter. Thanks to its high altitude at over 1,200 metres above sea level it is also the location for Tirol's first long-distance winter walking trail.
Gently rolling hills, picturesque lakes and a snowsure altitude make the Seefeld Olympic Region the ideal destination for Nordic and alpine sports. However, there is much more to this region than just cross-country skiing and biathlon, the two sports for which it is best known. Winter walking is another very popular activity here thanks to the large network of walking trails criss-crossing the plateau. In fact, the Seefeld plateau is home to Tirol's first long-distance winter walking trail, which takes hikers across the region in four days. The well-signposted trails are kept in excellent condition, and there is the option of having your luggage transported from place to place for you.
