Snowshoeing and Winter Hiking in the Tannheimer Tal Valley

The remote Tannheimer Tal Valley is the ideal place to get away from it all and recharge your batteries.

Though the region is home to a small ski resort, there is plenty of untouched terrain for snowshoeing and winter hiking for all ages and abilities – from easy strolls along the valley floor to challenging hikes up into the mountains. Or why not try something new and see the landscape from a completely new perspective on a hot air balloon ride? Cruising the skies high above the mountain peaks is a magical experience you will never forget!

Tip! In the Tannheimer Tal Valley it is not only skiers and snowboarders who get to enjoy the great views at the top of the mountain. At the summit of the Neunerköpfle mountain there is a 2.2km snowshoeing and winter hiking trail leading from the top of the cable car at 1,900m into the fabulous winter landscape and all the way to the peak, where visitors will find the largest “summit book” (a book where those who have climbed the mountain record their name for posterity) in the Alps. Also waiting at the top is a fabulous panorama of the Tannheimer Tal Valley, the Allgäu Alps and the neighbouring region of Allgäu over the border in Germany.
