Rafting, canyoning, rock climbing for children, nerve-jangling moments in the high-rope adventure park, hiking, cycling – the Tiroler Oberland region is the perfect place for families who love being outdoors. The only question is where to start!
Ready, steady, go! Young visitors to the Tirol Oberland region should remember to pick up an Adventure Rucksack from their accommodation or one of the local tourist information offices. It contains a pair of binoculars, a magifying glass, a small shovel, pens and a pad of paper – all the things you need to start exploring. The only question is where to start! How about the Erlebniswelt Goldwasser, an adventure play area at the top of the Bergkastelbahn cable car in in Nauders with many water-themed play elements, themed walking trails and even a crystal cave? Or what about the Holderli-Seppl-Klettersteig in the Kaunertal Valley, a via ferrata fixed-rope climbing route with metal handholds and footholds ideal for children aged 5 years and older? Or maybe a bike ride around the Reschensee lake with its mysterious church spire emerging from the water? There are also plenty of activities going on throughout the week where children are looked after by professional childcare experts, leaving parents free to spend a little time together.
Highlights of the free weekly activity programme
Between July and late August there is a weekly activity programme for children and teenagers from Monday to Friday.
