The Murmelland Zillertal is a mini zoo and outdoor play area in one. Located next to the Skihütte Kaltenbach, it gives visitors a chance to learn all about marmots – furry animals native to the Alps. As well as plenty of marmots, kids can look forward to rabbits, goats and lots of other animals. The adventure play area has swings, a ship and a climbing wall. Nearby there is the Kaltenbacher Ausflugshütte, a mountain hut on the Zillertal High Mountain Road serving traditional food from the valley. The hut can be reached by car and on foot from the Murmelland Zillertal.
