Tiroler Lech Nature Park

Lech is one of the last wild rivers in Central Europe and dominates the landscape of the Nature Park. Insights into the different habitats and vegetation types are offered over a total surface area of 40 square kilometres.

Untamed in parts, the Lech is one of the last wild rivers of the northern Alps to carve its way through the Lechtal Valley. Many plants and animals have found the perfect environment here – from barren to lush, from dry to wet.  The biodiversity is nigh on endless, 1,116 plant species alone thrive here and the animal world is represented by rare specimens of stone crayfish, amphibians and koppen (small fish).  Nature lovers, sports enthusiasts and those looking for rest and relaxation are amongst those that find themselves particularly drawn to Tiroler Lech Nature Park.
