International Hahnenkamm Mountain Bike Race

Kitzbühel, 15.08.2024

In August, everyone can try to tackle the hallowed ground of Hahnenkamm Mountain by mountain bike: The course includes a nasty 940 vertical meters & gradients of up to 16%.

Now in its 35th year, the annual Hahnenkamm Mountain Bike Race starts in Kitzbühel and finishes at the Hochkitzbühel On-Mountain Restaurant on August 15, 2024. Each year, hundreds of mountain bikers race up the mountain along the world’s most blood-curdling downhill ski racecourse for men, called the “Streif”. It’s a wicked, twisting, insane snake of a run; one filled with unforgiving grade steeps, challenging an international roster of top athletes for an incredible weekend of racing each January. Elevation gain on the 9.2K course is 940 meters, with gravel roads and gradients of up to 16 percent. The award ceremony will be held in the afternoon by 2:00pm.
