Watch out, snowboarders: The 10th Splitboard Festival rolls across Tirol to take on the mountains surrounding Achensee Lake in mid-January. Don’t miss the biggest Testival of its kind in Europe!
For three days in January 2024, splitboards will rule supreme in Pertisau on the shores of Achensee Lake. A splitboard is essentially a snowboard that splits into two halves. These halves become skis for travelling uphill, like touring skis. During the festival, visitors can demo some 200 of the latest boards, binding systems, avalanche transceivers and clothing for touring from leading brands. Moreover, experts will teach avalanche safety and awareness. Experienced mountain guides will lead guided tours to Karwendel and Rofan Mountain Ranges for several ability levels. A nightly entertainment program will round out the days.
