A big day for Jerzens comes on the second weekend of September when the festive cattle drive moves the herd from its summer grazing grounds to the valley. The homecoming is celebrated with a parish fair and famers’ market.
Watch Alpine herdsmen rustle a mighty herd of cattle through Jerzens as the traditional Pitztal Valley Cattle Drive returns on Saturday in the late morning. The event will feature a huge famers’ market and entertainment for all. The cattle is expected to reach Jerzens around 2:00pm and will be welcomed by live music, traditional dancing, and culinary delciacies. Little ones will enjoy tons of kids activities at Pitzi’s Kids’ Club.
The 2020 Parish Fair takes over on Sunday with an open air mass at 10:00am, followed by food, fun and live music.
