Until mid-December, the Innsbruck Thoman Gallery shows an inspiring and diverse conversation between artists Thomas Feuerstein and Harkeerat Mangat.
Innsbruck’s Thoman Gallery is proud to announce the “The Conversation” exhibition, running from October 21 through December 16, 2023. The exhibition is presenting works by Canadian artist Harkeerat Mangat and Tirol-native Thomas Feuerstein. It is the second chapter in a three-part exhibition series, in the context of which curator Pia-Marie Remmers invites artists to choose a position from the program of Thoman Gallery for a joint exhibition. The works of Harkeerat Mangat are meticulously planned yet deal with subjects and materials that evade all predictability. Influenced by his practical experience as a traditional Indian musician, he organises his films, paintings, drawings and exhibitions like musical scores, that come alive only through their interpretation. Thomas Feuerstein uses chemical and biological processes in order to explore economic, social, and also historical correlations.
