For one month from late May through late June, new media and experimental arts will be at the center of attention at Bschlabertal Valley, a remote mountain valley in Tirol’s Außerfern Area.
“Medienfrische” translates to ‘Media Alertness’: Taking place from May 26 through June 21, 2023, the festival is dedicated to giving a fresh impetus to the future of this remote mountain valley. It aims at serving as an experimental field for artists from all over the world and for bringing new ides to the local people. It’s a place where digital art meets carving art. It is also about the questioning of working methods and breaking up encrusted traditions. It’s a place where people from seemingly opposing worlds meet each other and develop new ideas together. This creates a special moment of exchange: between art and landscape, between the new and the traditional, and not least between individuals.
