Innsbruck Journalism Festival

Innsbruck, 12.05.2023 - 14.05.2023

In May, Tirol’s capital once again plays host to the “Innsbruck Journalism Festival. International Days of Information”. The weekend features a rich variety of participants and a varied program.

From May 12 to 14, 2023, journalists from different regions of the world can speak with their specific expertise, comment on pressing issues, debate with one another and talk to scientists, NGO representatives and the audience. In its second year in 2023, the Festival revolves around the philosophy of Ilse Aichinger: “A Weekend with a View: Look closely at what is happening.”

The Innsbruck Journalism Festival is a site for exchange, debate, and cultural exchange. Journalists from multiple European regions lay out their specific areas of expertise. They debate with scientists, representatives of NGOs, and experts for current discourses. Additionally, they also engage with the audience. During book presentations and readings, reporters display their experience and provide insight into their work. Furthermore, there are exhibitions of documentary photography, comics, documentaries, and audio features.

The Innsbruck Journalism Festival represents a window into the complex present in which we live. Learn More.
