An annual snow ski festival, the Kaiser-Maximilian-Lauf includes 60k and 30k classic cross country ski races through the hilly and beautiful upland plateau of Seefeld Region in January.
In its fifth year, the Kaiser-Maximilian-Lauf is a unique cross-country ski marathon race in the Seefeld Region. About 1,200 skiers from 25 different countries are expected to compete in the two race events: The 60k and the 30k classic races will take place on Saturday, January 9, 2020. Organizers will create protocols and processes that ensure the health and safety for everyone. The 30k event starts in Leutasch and has its finish at the World Championship Arena in Seefeld. In both events, abilities range from top national ski racers to recreational skiers challenging themselves with just making the distance. Both races traverse the stunning winter scenery of Mösern, Wildmoos, Buchen and Leutasch. The 60k classic race is part of the "Visma Ski Classics", a series of international long distance cross country ski race events.
