Held each summer, Karwendel March is an epic day on scenic trails that wind through the heart of glorious Karwendel Mountain Range, covering a challenging distance of 52 kilometers and roughly 2,300 vertical meters. This long distance walk along scenic routes annually lures long-distance walkers, hikers, and trail runners. Are you participating in the 2023 edition of this amazing race? This is the camp for you! Held on four days in late June 2023, the running training covers the course of the 52K Karwendel March over two days. This four-day camp brings all the aspects you’d expect at a trail-running camp—workshops, daily runs and gear demos along with training and racing strategies. The Karwendel March Training Camp is designed for trail runners who are looking to develop their strength and skill in the mountains. Participants should be able to comfortably run three up to five hours.
The actual training on the route of the original 52K Karwendel March begins on Friday morning in Scharnitz with a run of 35 kilometers. What follows is an overnight stay at the rustic Eng-Alm. On Saturday, the run is continued to the finish in Pertisau (17K).
