The historic harp is in the center of this four-day festival that takes place this November at the Innsbruck House of Music, offering concerts, lectures, and round tables for the second time.
Tirol native and internationally renowned harpenist Margret Köll is the founder of this new Innsbruck Harp Biennal, which aims to transmit the historic harp’s “eternal muse” to future generations. Keeping traditions alive, the harp and its music can raise spirits and enrich lives.
The second edition of this festival revolves around the theme of “Celtic String Games” and boasts various concerts, from authentic folk music to classical music from Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland, will be given from November 9 to 12, 2023. Apart from providing excellent performances with opportunities to hear, meet and learn from musicians from around the world, the new festival aims at enabling scientific interchange within lectures and workshops.
