The historic harp is in the center of this four-day festival that debuts this November at the Innsbruck House of Music, offering concerts, lectures, and round tables for its inspiring start.
Tirol native and internationally renowned harpenist Margret Köll is the founder of this new “Zwischen den Saiten” (‘Between the Strings’) Festival, which aims to transmit the historic harp’s “eternal muse” to future generations. Keeping traditions alive, the harp and its music can raise spirits and enrich lives.
Various concerts, from authentic folk music to classical music, from Scottish harp music to works by Haydn and Krumpholtz will be given from November 11 to 14, 2021. Among the highlights is a new work by Tirolean composer Christof Dienz that will be performed for the very first time by Margret Köll along with the “Knödel” Ensemble.
Apart from providing excellent performances with opportunities to hear, meet and learn from musicians from around the world, the new festival aims at enabling scientific interchange within lectures and workshops.
